2nd Friday of the month in 2011, 7.30pm for 8pm start

This adults-only rhythm circle will be held on the Friday nearest the full moon each month. If the weather is good, we will be round a fire; if the weather’s rainy, we will be in the pole barn.

We welcome both experienced and new rhythm-makers, so don’t worry if you’ve never had a go before – just come along, have a bash and enjoy the experience!

You are also welcome to bring snacks and drinks, for yourselves or to share, after we have made beautiful music together!

Traditional Music Workshop with Karen Tweed

September 23, 2011 by General Administrator
Traditional Music Workshop with Karen Tweed
Sun 6th Nov 11:00am – 5:00pm
Moseley Dance Studio, 132 Alcester Road, Birmingham B13 8EE
Last year we enjoyed a great day of music with Karen Tweed.  We’ve invited her back and are looking forward to another fun experience.
Karen is an inspiring collaborator, established accordion teacher and has produced inspiring work with Timo Alakotila, The Poozies and Ian Carr (amongst many others). She loves working with mixed instrumental groups in workshops to produce and encourage ideas that take simple melodies into unusual and innovative arrangements, while gently nurturing musicians to try dynamic ideas and ultimately feel confident to create their own wonderful arrangements.
Exploring melodies from Europe and the British Isles, this workshop is open to all instruments and intermediate standard and above.  Notation of the main themes can be provided in advance.
Tickets £20 from meetings of the Moseley Village Band, or call 0121 247 3856
