All of Canalside’s social and subscribing share members make up the wider Canalside community. They are people who live in Radford Semele (our nearest settlement), Leamington Spa, Warwick and other nearby areas, including Kenilworth, Southam, Bishops Itchington and many other places besides. Although they live in many different towns and villages, they all feel that local, organic, seasonal produce is important and want to support the process that produces food according to those principles.
Individuals, couples, families with children – people of all ages – are all part of this community, choosing to engage with it at the level they feel is right for them. For most people, collecting their share from the farm each week will be their main way of engaging with Canalside, but we also provide the opportunity for many other types of involvement for those who are interested, for example:
– attending the weekly work mornings and regular Saturday volunteer events to help the growers with their work
– coming to regular social events where we might cook together, share food and learn new skills
– helping with our summer publicity stalls
… and more!
