Oxfam would like to invite you, your friends, family and colleagues to join them in the UK’s biggest celebration of International Women’s Day. Here at Oxfam, women’s rights are at the centre of everything we do. International women’s Day is our chance to celebrate all the amazing things women achieve – as well as raise awareness of women’s issues that still need to be tackled.

During the week of 8th March, we’re asking people to Get Together with friends, colleagues and loved ones, to celebrate International Women’s Day and to raise money to transform the lives of women living in poverty.

Your Oxfam Get Together can be anything – last year over a thousand events took place across the UK, ranging from coffee mornings and cake sales to dinner parties and yoga classes! Whether at work or at home, however big or small, the money you raise really does make a difference – just £31 is enough to train a midwife in Ghana, showing that a little money really does go a long way.
